Questions asked as bodybuilder’s arm explodes at high altitude
JOHANNESBURG - Bodybuilding has taken another knock this week after 2008 Mr Olympian Jay Cutler’s left bi-cep hemorrhaged water and blood over the front row during a competition, leading some experts to speculate that the high altitude may be to blame, not the $100,000 worth of steroids Cutler ingests every year.
The incident happened during the final ’flex-off’ at the inaugural ‘Pump’ competition at the University of Witwatersrand, where the final four oiled athletes were taking a last opportunity to impress the judges by flexing their muscles, intent on showing tight, well defined and symmetrical muscle formation.
“Jay [Cutler] winked and smiled at us and before we knew it we had a face full [of steroid filled blood mucus]” said one angry fan. “It’s one thing for them to take [steroids] but quite another for me to ingest it straight from his vein.”
Mr Cutler’s lawyer, Harry Goldstein was quick to defend Mr Cutler and other professional athletes and issued a statement through the associated press outlining that at 2000 metres above sea level it takes an extra minute to boil an egg. After dumbfounded looks Mr Goldstein deflected further questions by suggesting Mr Cutler was a homosexual.
Some good points did come from the barbarity and horror, as it has given rise to the colloquial phrase ‘as tense as a bodybuilder at high altitude.’
The real excitement occurred later when female bodybuilder Joanna Thomas’ tits exploded milk after attempting a forward pec clench.
